The majority of our Roll Pallet products have a prefabricated fixed wheel box, and hitherto, do not use a castor. Therefore, you cannot put a brake on the fixed wheel.

Yes, all of our products are 100% recyclable, they come under ferrous metals so they are fully recyclable with your local steel recycling centre. Being environmentally conscious means a lot to us.

This ultimately depends on the grade of sterile clean room you have in your facility.

Generally, Aseptic cleanrooms require marine grade 316 stainless steel which withstands corrosion and does not rust therefore not contaminating the air.

However, in certain clean environments that are not sensitive to contamination of air with microorganisms, you can use the standard Roll Pallets or Cage Stillages that we supply.

These units are made from mild steel that are electro zinc plated so the chance still exists that they could someday rust especially if they are at a coastal location where the air is saltier. This is why marine grade 316 stainless steel is the best option for an aseptic environment.

With certain types of cage you can get a nestable plastic pallet base, which is particularly suitable for the food transportation, catering and services industry. The rest of the cage will remain metal.

At present, we don’t stock roll pallet locks but we can certainly source one for you if you like.

Depending on the weight of the units you’ve chosen, and what kind of material you’re storing and transporting in them, you can usually stack them three to four units high.

The answer to this question depends on the size of your truck or lorry & the size of the roll containing product you’re ordering.

For example, on a 40ft trailer, you can fit 175 nested standard size Roll Pallets on a trailer. When the cages are opened out you can fit 39 cages in a 40ft trailer. For a ridged truck this will vary depending on the size of the trailer, but generally, you will get a minimum of 70 Roll Pallets nested. If you are transporting roll pallets then, on average, you will stack them seven units high so with two rows in the trailer, you will get about 90 cages into the truck.

Yes, on certain types of container products you can use forklifts. Generally, the Roll Pallets are not ideal to be used with a forklift as this can damage them. However, on the heavy-duty Automotive Roll Pallet, you will see fork guides to allow you to use a forklift. For all of the cage pallets, a forklift is a correct way to move them around

In this case, you would need to select a four-sided Roll Pallet cage that already has a door on it. The door can fold away when not in use so you can easily access the cage without the door being in the way.

Yes, the wheels of your roll cage can lock. You can get brake castors that allow the front swivel wheels to lock. You can put a maximum of two brake castors on the standard size 3-sided and 4-sided roll pallets and four castors on the jumbo size units.

Yes, the roll containers we stock can “nest” meaning they can fold into each other to save space. This reduces the length of the cages but the height remains the same. We also have demountable cages that you can take apart and store away conveniently.

Yes, you can get a variety of covers and lids depending on your use case, your application and, of course, your industry. You can get freezer covers for perishable items or you can get covers that simply protect your goods from the rain. Either way, there is a cover available to suit your needs and we’re always at hand to help you decide on the best fit for your business.

Yes, there are certain Roll Pallets that you can lock called Security Roll Pallets. These cages come with a 50 x 50 mm mesh so you cannot take items out and they also come with a thick lid to allow to the cage to be fully enclosed to protect your goods.

No, the roll pallet containers and stillage boxes we sell are not made from Stainless Steel they are made from black mild steel and are Electro Zinc Plated to prevent corrosion.

Yes you can. All of our roll cages are Electro Zinc Plated and are specifically designed to handle the climate for outdoor use and remain unaffected by the UK weather! The electro-zinc plate gives 5 µm plating thickness or .0002 inch. This is the correct surface thickness for outdoor use to prevent corrosion.

Our Roll Pallets come with 2 fixed, 2 swivel wheels allowing you to manoeuvre the cages around tight corners with ease.

The standard wheels we stock for our roll pallet products are 125mm in Diameter with an M10 bolt going through the middle of them.

Yes, you can change the wheels if you have a delicate surface to protect, the wheel that you would need for a delicate surface is a non-marking Rubber castor, which can be ordered in our wheels and castors section.

Each of the wheels and castors we stock of are made from high-quality Polypropylene, this is a hard white plastic that is extremely durable. It’s a material commonly used on all types of Roll Pallets and offers great flexibility and is easy to replace should the need arise.

Yes, you can add shelves to your unit(s). Some cages come with a hinged shelf & some cages without, but you can put a loose shelf into nearly every Roll Pallet product in our inventory and if you prefer, we offer a full roll container customisation service to suit your own specific business requirements.

Our broad range of roll pallet cages come in various sizes, you can get a Jumbo style cage that is the same size as a pallet, 1200 x 800 mm or you can get a standard size cage that is about half a pallet size 725 x 850  mm W/H. There are various alternatives but these are the most common sizes.
